THE SHOW: Rodebjer Fall Winter 2013
KEYWORDS: Unrealized, natural glamour.
THE LOOK: Swedish country girl moves to New York City. Designer Carin Rodebjer was inspired by her native Gotland by creating a collection that is equal parts chic and equal parts cozy. Basics hand knitted in grey, black, and camel balanced by pops of pink and Iris wools and silk chiffon.
BEAUTY: Clean natural “skyn” was the base of the look. Models wore Skyn Iceland’s Hydro Cooling Eye Gels as nails were being prepped by Color Club.
HAIR: Hair gathered at the nape of the neck into a disheveled bun by Aveda stylists.
MUSIC: Nina Persson, lead singer from The Cardigans (and who also happens to be childhood besties with the design) sang live folk music as models stood bundled up in Rodebjer’s creations.
STANDOUT PIECE: We can see ourselves wearing the hand knitted matching pant and tops on the daily. We loved the sheepskin and knitted fringe collars as well. AND not to mention the camel cape and trench. It was one of those collections that is very wearable, timeless, and would buy all of it if we could.
