Midweek Motivation: 10 Instant Mood Lifters

The impression of summer is that there isn’t an excuse to feel hum-drum, but just because the sun is shining doesn’t mean everything is always going to go smoothly. Everyone has a day, a moment, or a feeling that tugs at them once in awhile. And while in fact it is healthy to not suppress your feelings, there comes a point where you just need to rise up from these frustrating moments and turn the other cheek.  So today, I’m gathered together 10 different ways that can quickly boost your mood and help you get out of your own head.

1. Walk your dog or let them play in the yard. Do what makes their tongues and tails wag.

2. Do something unexpected for someone that helps them out, whether they know it was you or not.

3. Read an inspiring article or blog post.

4. Eat something healthy – fresh fruit or vegetables.

5. Complete something on your to-do list that brings you one step closer to your goals.

6. Do something ahead of time.

7. Step outside and take in a deep breath of fresh air.

8. Pick up a fresh bouquet of flowers.

9. Take a walk.

10. Whether you are going to dinner or simply running an errand, present your best self – make-up, hair, and a fabulous outfit.
