I have terribly sensitive skin, which as gotten worse with age. In the past year I could only moisturize with coconut oil due to allergies, that are still unidentifiable, but most likely culprits are metals, SLS and other harsh chemicals found in several beauty products, even the pricey ones. This allergy makes it almost impossible to wear foundation of any kind so I resort to only using a certain mineral foundation, which dermatologists recommend for sensitive skin, and can often leave your skin looking flat and dull.
I have been seeking an organic beauty product to accentuate structure on my face (I swear my nose has gotten bigger in the last few years?! Can this medically happen?) A few weeks back I traipsed into the James Corbett Studio, an organic and natural beauty salon in NYC, to refresh my blonde highlights. As my balayage was processing, James applied the RMS Beauty Luminizer on my cheek bones, brow bone and down the center of my forehead to the tip of my nose. In one glance in the mirror, I was sold. The luminizer sculpted my features, highlighted my cheekbones and created the illusion of a slimmer nose and brighter eyes. Even a few friends commented on how amazing my skin looked and commented on the structure of my cheekbones. Bonus is that the product is completely natural and has a cult following, including Miranda Kerr, my girl crush du jour.
Note: Being a product junkie and working on the beauty industry for 6+ years, I don’t ever recommend something unless it’s utterly fabulous and produces results. After using the product for a week I have had zero breakout or rash from the product. I can’t wait to try more of the RMS Beauty products and possibly work on an interview with her on her interesting story and journey into the organic beauty space. For now you can visit her website for more information. http://rmsbeauty.com
