Temps are officially above the 80′s in most parts of the world (except for our friends down under) and warmer on the east coast, particularly in NYC, where I currently live. 100 degree weather wasn’t something I was used to being that I have spent a majority of the last 10 years in Seattle, where the summer is very mild and never above 90. Nothing in my closet works. It’s either too warm, too constricting, or too “dressed up” and that just doesn’t work when you are hoofing it from uptown to downtown on foot and passing through the sweaty subway.
So how does one stay chic in the heat? Floaty maxi’s. Currently dying for the Chloe SS ’12 number above (on model Elena Perminova at Paris Haute Couture Shows last week). Chloe isn’t in most of our budget’s so I found a few versatile and affordable options that you can wear during the day, dress up, or to the beach.
