Bid Adieu to Bare Legs

Tights are a must have accessory that extend the life of your wardrobe from single-season to multi-season. Below are a few trends we think have “legs”:

COLORED OPAQUE
This fall is a blast from the past – the ’50s – ’70s have taken over. You can wear these with your sleek and sophisticated blacks, whites, greys, and camels to make your outfit pop; or, you can add these to create a color-blocking ensemble. See photo above for our favorite way to wear – white shoes included!

JNSQ Pick: Hue Colored Opaque Tights, $13.50

VINTAGE SEAM
During the Great Depression, women would draw black lines up the back of their legs to provide the illusion that they could still afford dress stockings. These tights are as in demand now as they ever were. They add classic beauty to any outfit with just one vertical line.

JNSQ Pick: Asos Bow Seam Tights, $17.00

LACE
Lace is the KEY TREND for the season and it goes beyond apparel. Lace maintains femininity by revealing skin between intricate patterns and designs. Be careful when wearing as not to mix many patterns. Keep the silhouette simple and clean and let the tights speak for themselves.

JNSQ Pick: DKNY Floral Lace Tights, $20

DOT
Two words: Minnie Mouse. Associated with her infamous style, these dots have been revamped, as they polkaed down the runway this year. Keep it classic with small dot, or carefree with quarter size dots (hello A/W ’11 Marc Jacobs!)

JNSQ Pick: Small Dot:  Frenchi ‘Dot’ Tights, $12.00 Large Dot: Wolford Bonny Dot Tights, $64

CLASSIC BLACK
Sophisticated, slimming, and sensible – black tights can make a casual dress look elegant, and they never go out of style. This wardrobe staple is a good way to balance densely patterned dresses, or pair with some tailored shorts and ankle booties.
