Looking for a new fragrance is dreadful – I end up leaving the department store with a massive migraine and end up smelling like a whore house – as my mother would affectionately say. Luckily I have learned what I don’t like (woodsy, musky, oriental fragrances – thank you grandma) and what I love (citrusy, fresh scents such as grapefruit, orange and other fruity notes). Cut to my adventure at Barney’s New York Fragrance Department. Thank you Frederic Malle – I have found a new favorite – BIGARADE CONCENTREE. Not only does it smell like my FAVORITE cocktail, the beloved Americano, it’s also “unisex”, which is beyond exciting. Now that really justifies the $150 price point. We both can use it – save shelf space – and money.
